Howard Tenens – Loading Bay Canopy

Howard Tenens approached us to deliver an all‑weather protection solution that would protect products and support safe, efficient loading into articulated lorries.

Given the scale of vehicle access required, and the nature of the loading operations, the Oxford Barrel XL twin-span canopy was selected as the most suitable solution to meet their operational demands. The structure featured two 20m clear spans, 15m depth, and a 5m minimum eaves height, providing ample clearance for HGV access and manoeuvrability.

Providing a robust structure was key, with the twin-span canopy being securely bolted to the existing concrete apron, and additional concrete kentledge to resist wind uplift. Both the roof and side elevations were clad in flame retardant, waterproof PVC coated fabric, delivering reliable, all weather protection for both goods and company employees.

This bespoke solution has significantly enhanced operational efficiency at the site, enabling year-round loading whilst safeguarding products and maintaining a smooth, uninterrupted logistics flow.
