Crematoria

On what will be the most difficult of days, it goes without saying that anything that can be done for mourners that will make their attendance at chapel just a little bit more comfortable would be greatly appreciated by all.

Clovis Canopies supply porte-cochère / carriage porches, shelters, and walkway cover to business owners and operators in the funeral sector that provides all-around weather protection to mourners and floral tributes at the funeral and memorial services.

On arrival mourners and funeral directors exit their vehicles and then enter the chapel, this sensitive stage of the proceedings can be made a little easier under the cover of a porte-cochère / carriage porch. After the service, the mourners exit the chapel and move on to the flower garden where they will view the flowers and tributes, under shelter they would be in a relaxed environment whilst protected from the elements. From the flower garden, people can then move on to visit the memorial gardens, if they wish, where the pathways and viewing areas can have walkway covers allowing mourners to take their time whilst paying their respects.

As well as porte-cochères / carriage porches, shelters and walkway covers, Clovis can supply canopies for waiting and overflow areas if required. We have many solutions for a variety of scenarios, contact us today to see how we can help.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your canopies usable all year in all weathers?

Yes unlike some solutions that need to be taken down in the winter or during high winds our canopies are designed to be useable all year round. The cladding materials as well as providing shade are also waterproof so that they can be used during wet weather.

What colour can the framework be?

Each canopy framework is supplied in the colour of choice from the standard RAL range. A match for most school colour schemes can be found with that range if required.

What guarantees are offered?

Subject to appropriate cleaning and maintenance we offer the following guarantees:-

  • Framework – 25 years against failure within design, wind and snow loadings
  • Polycarbonate – 10 years against discolouration from sunlight
  • Fabric Cladding – 10 years against degradation / failure from sunlight

We aim for 100% satisfaction 100% of the time.

Will I require planning permission?

We always advise that you call your local planning authority as there are no hard and fast rules. They will advise on whether you require planning permission for your proposed canopy. Although it differs from region to region canopies under 30m2 may not require permission but this can be affected by situations such as proximity to neighbours, listed building status, conservation areas etc. so it always best to check. We are happy to provide free of charge, scaled drawings etc. of the proposed canopy structure to assist your application should you require.
