Cambridge Cantilever Gull-wing Canopy

The Cambridge Cantilever Gull-wing structure can be used as an entrance canopy or extended to create a covered walkway. Supplied clad with either polycarbonate, or bolted glass, or glass laid into patent glazing bars.

Guarantees: Framework - 25 years | Polycarbonate Cladding - 10 years proportional against discolouration through sunlight
Size: The maximum width for the Cambridge Cantilever Gull-wing is around 7m, but each canopy is fabricated to suit the clients requirements
Applicable Standards: UKCA Marked structural steel fabricated in accordance with BS EN1090, designed in accordance with BS EN 1990,91,92,93,97 for Wind & Snow Loadings (replaced BS6399 Pt.2 - Wind & Snow Loadings; BS5950 - Structural Use of Steelwork in Buildings)
Roof Shape: Flat Pitched Cantilever Gull-wing
Glass: Toughened laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150
Solid Polycarbonate: Flame Retardant (Class 1) Solid Sheet Clear Polycarbonate with a 10 year proportional guarantee against discolouration from sunlight
Structured Polycarbonate: Flame Retardant (Class 1) Structured Opal (opaque) or Clear Polycarbonate with a 10 year proportional guarantee against discolouration from sunlight
Polycarbonate/Glass Cladding Fixing: Two part Aluminium Glazing Bar with rubber gaskets to allow for thermal expansion of the roofing sheets and secure fixing
Standard Finish: Shot blast, zinc primed, and polyester powder coated to any standard BS/RAL Classic colour
Rainwater Goods: Colour coded Aluminium gutter included as standard with downpipes terminating at ground level
Foundation Fixings: Chemical or cast in-situ anchor bolts into concrete foundation pads

We are very pleased with how they look and that they will be a ‘boon’ for our children in terms of shade and rain protection. However my main reason for writing is that I am very pleased with the way in which your staff Martin Sears and Timothy Barclay, have carried out the project. The space we used for the canopies is a main thoroughfare to our playgrounds. They have managed to keep this are very tidy and safe throughout the week so that we can function as a school without any inconvenience. This was mainly due to Martin and Timothy, who in addition to doing such a good job have worked exceptionally well, ensuring ‘business as usual’ and have been very friendly with staff and children. They are a credit to your company and I hope that you will let them know that I have followed up my appreciation of them with this letter.

Clovis provides an excellent design service offering 2D and 3D drawing of the proposed canopies and quotation stage if required. This can be especially helpful to illustrate the proposed canopy to the client or Local planning Authority. Clovis will also visit the site if the host building has a complication or the canopy has an unusual configuration.
